Principal

Larry joined Johnson Fain in 1987 and is the Principal responsible for overseeing resources and project management. With over 35 years of experience working with clients and consultants, Larry is an established leader in the profession and a valued mentor for younger project managers.

Larry attended the University of Detroit, where he earned his Bachelor degree in Environmental Studies and his Master of Architecture degree. He is a registered architect in the States of California and Texas and a member of the National Council Architectural Registration Board.

He is involved with client relations and project management for the office’s largest and most complex projects. He is responsible for project scopes of work, team organization, project schedules and budgets. As General Manager of Johnson Fain International, Larry leads the firm’s operations focused on overseas projects, and successfully manages major projects in China, Japan, and the Pacific.

Larry chairs weekly personnel meetings to manage Johnson Fain’s multiple studio-based practice.  He is charged with oversight of all architectural staffing, determining the optimum size and make-up for each of the project teams. Assisted by the latest management technology, Larry continues to develop and strengthen the management capabilities within the office.
