Intermediate Designer (Design Staff 1 or Architect 1)

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform design and documentation assignments including conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
• Produce presentation drawings that effectively and creatively communicate design ideas.
• Develop and explore design alternatives, code analysis, building detailing, and integration of building systems (structure, MEP, lighting, landscape, interiors, etc.) throughout the design and construction process.
• Work collaboratively to coordinate design and documents with other disciplines.

Job Requirements:
• 5 to 8 years of work experience in an architectural office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Advanced knowledge of REVIT.
• Experience in residential mixed use projects is desirable.
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Sketch Up and 3D Visualization software knowledge is a plus.

 

Junior Designer (Emerging Professional 1-3)

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform design assignments including conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
• Produce presentation drawings that effectively and creatively communicate design ideas.
• Create 3D visualization including still images, animation, and virtual reality.
• Build physical models using the latest technology in our model shop.
• Work collaboratively to coordinate design and documents with other disciplines.

Job Requirements:
• One to 5 years of work experience in an architectural office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Advanced knowledge of REVIT.
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, and 3D Visualization software such as Rhino, Lumion, and 3DS Max.

 

Job Captain

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate, prepare and organize design and construction documents sets.
• Accurately prepare and coordinate project construction document details, execute product research and produce schedules.
• Assist and provide input on code research.
• Assist in generating, finalizing and distributing meeting minutes in a timely manner.
• Drafting and computer modeling in Revit, Rhino and AutoCAD.
• Coordination of a full consultant teams.
• Coordination of 1-2 designer level staff, including identifying tasks and delegating work to team support members.

Job Requirements:

• 5-10 years relevant experience
• High degree of autonomy and ability to generate your own work and work for other team members.
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive and effective team environment.
• Advanced Knowledge of current versions of REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper and other parametric software knowledge is desirable.
• Bachelor of Architecture is required.
• Licensed CA Architect is desirable or actively pursuing licensure, enrolled in the IDP process, and actively logging credits and taking exams
• Employees must exhibit initiative, engagement and purpose in their project work and in the project.
• All staff are responsible to all tasks of the project; no job position is above handling any task required for the success of the project and the team.

Intermediate Interior Designer
 

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform all aspects of interior design including programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
• Develop interior details.
• Produce presentation drawings that effectively and creatively communicate design ideas.
• Assist in selection and presentation of furniture, fabrics and equipment (FF&E).
• Work collaboratively to coordinate design and documents with other disciplines.

Job Requirements:
• Five to ten years of Interior Design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school.
• Advanced knowledge of current versions of REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and InDesign.
• Knowledge of finishes, materials, furniture and specifications.

 

Junior Interior Designer

Urban Designers

Johnson Fain is seeing creative, conceptual thinkers who have experience with projects that include master plans, new town plans, facilities master planning, general and specific plans, site feasibility, and land use analysis for a variety of clients and diverse industries including: aviation, universities, media, public agencies, cities, the United States and international governments, resorts, private and public development, and redevelopment.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience. Preferably dual experience and education in Architecture and Urban Design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
